Final Lap is a competitive racing game developed by Namco and released for the NES in 1987. Building on the company’s arcade racing legacy, the game challenges you to compete against the clock and rival drivers across a series of demanding tracks, either solo or in two-player multiplayer.
How to play
You must complete each race within a strict time limit, which requires memorizing track layouts and finding the optimal braking points to maintain a high average speed. Use the Left and Right arrow keys to steer your car. Press X (A button) to accelerate and Z (B button) to brake. If you run out of time before reaching the next checkpoint, your race is over.
