Famista ’91 is a classic baseball simulation game developed by Namco, released for the NES (Famicom) in 1990. As part of the beloved Family Stadium series, this installment brings updated rosters, responsive pitching and batting mechanics, and the charming, fast-paced arcade sports action that defined the franchise in Japan.
How to play
The objective is to pitch, bat, and field your way to victory across standard nine-inning baseball matches. Using standard browser controls, use the Arrow keys to aim pitches, move the batter, or control outfielders. Press Z (A button) to swing the bat, pitch the ball, or throw to a base, and use X (B button) to run bases or cancel actions. Press Enter to pause or access the game menu.
Tips
- When pitching, you can alter the ball’s trajectory mid-flight by pressing left or right on the D-pad, allowing you to curve pitches away from the batter.
- Pay attention to your pitcher’s stamina. Leaving a tired pitcher on the mound will significantly reduce their throw speed and accuracy, making them an easy target.
