Famista ’90 (also known as Family Stadium ’90) is a classic 8-bit baseball game developed by Namco and released in 1989 for the NES (Famicom in Japan). As part of the highly successful Family Stadium series, the game brings fast-paced, arcade-style baseball action to the console. You can choose from various fictionalized teams, manage your batting lineup, and compete in full matches that capture the essence of retro sports games.
How to Play
The objective is to outscore the opposing team across nine innings of baseball. You will take turns batting and fielding.
- Movement / Aiming: Arrow Keys
- Swing / Pitch / Throw: Z
- Run Bases / Cancel: X
- Start: Enter
- Select: Shift
Tips
- When pitching, you can steer the ball mid-flight using the Arrow Keys to curve your pitch and strike out the batter.
- As a batter, timing is everything. Wait for the pitch to cross the plate instead of swinging early, and adjust your position in the batter’s box to hit outside pitches.
