Game description:

Extra Innings is an arcade-style baseball game released in 1992 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Developed by Sting and published by Sony Imagesoft, it brings a colorful, anime-inspired aesthetic to the diamond. Rather than focusing on heavy simulation, the game delivers fast-paced, accessible gameplay with customizable fictional teams, making it a fun pick-up-and-play sports title for the 16-bit era.

How to Play

The objective is to outscore the opposing team across a standard nine-inning baseball game. You control pitching, batting, and fielding using standard SNES inputs. In your browser, the D-pad is mapped to your arrow keys. The A, B, X, and Y buttons correspond to the X, Z, S, and A keys on your keyboard. Use Enter for Start and Shift for Select.

Tips

  • Keep a close eye on your pitcher’s stamina. Leaving a tired pitcher on the mound will significantly reduce the speed of their pitches and make it easier for the opponent to score.
  • When batting, adjust your position in the batter’s box to counter the pitcher’s positioning and improve your chances of solid contact.
