The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle is a puzzle-action game released by Kemco for the NES in 1989. Bugs Bunny works his way through a sprawling castle floor by floor, collecting every carrot on each level before the exit opens. The game has one distinctive rule: Bugs cannot jump. Progress comes entirely from reading enemy patrol patterns and planning a safe route, then executing it cleanly.
How to Play
Collect all the carrots on a floor to advance. Looney Tunes rivals patrol fixed routes and will end Bugs's run on contact â but items scattered around the castle, including boxing gloves, buckets, safes, and anvils, can stop them in their tracks. Stairs and slopes are the only way between floors, so controlling them is key.
Controls: Arrow keys to walk and climb • Z = Button B • X = Button A • Enter = Start • Shift = Select
Tips
- Study each floor from a safe starting position before moving â enemies follow fixed paths and a wrong step usually means a life lost.
- Save scarce items for enemies that block the only route to remaining carrots; not every pursuer needs to be dealt with.
- Stairs and slopes are chokepoints â wait for an enemy to clear before stepping onto one rather than rushing.
