Game description:

All-Star Baseball 2000 is a sports simulation game developed by Iguana Entertainment and released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. Known for its realistic approach to the sport, the game features full MLB rosters of the era, signature batting stances, and high-resolution graphics. It builds on its predecessor with deeper stat tracking, comprehensive season modes, and the play-by-play commentary of Thom Brennaman and John Sterling.

How to play

The objective is to pitch, field, and bat your way to victory across exhibition matches or full seasons. The standard Nintendo 64 controls map directly to the keyboard in the browser: use the Arrow Keys for the D-pad and analog stick to position your batters or direct pitches. Press X (A button) to swing or pitch, and Z (B button) for secondary actions like diving or throwing to specific bases. Enter acts as Start to pause the game.

Tips

When at bat, pay close attention to the batting cursor; aligning it precisely where the pitch crosses the plate significantly increases contact quality. While pitching, consistently mixing up your pitch types and locations will effectively keep the AI batters off balance and lead to more strikeouts.
