O-chan no Oekaki Logic is a puzzle game released in 1995 by Sunsoft for the Super Famicom (SNES). As a spin-off of the Hebereke series, it stars the character O-chan and offers classic nonogram (picross) gameplay where you use number clues to uncover hidden pixel art pictures.
How to Play
The objective is to complete the grid by using the numbers on the edges, which tell you how many consecutive blocks are filled in that row or column. Use the D-pad (mapped to arrow keys) to move your cursor. Press A (Z on your keyboard) to fill in a square, and use B (X) to mark squares you know should remain empty. Start (Enter) pauses the game.
Tips
- Always start by filling in the rows or columns with the largest numbers, or those that take up the entire width or height of the grid.
- Mark empty squares with an X just as diligently as you fill in solid squares; knowing where blocks cannot go is essential for solving harder puzzles.
- Work from the edges inwards to create overlapping constraints that reveal guaranteed blocks.
