Developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the SNES in 1994, Donkey Kong Country is an action platformer famous for its pre-rendered 3D graphics. You control Donkey Kong and his quick-footed companion Diddy Kong as they travel across Donkey Kong Island to reclaim their stolen banana hoard from King K. Rool and the Kremling Krew.
How to play
Navigate the levels by running, jumping, and rolling through enemies. You can tag between Donkey Kong, who is heavier and can easily defeat larger enemies, and Diddy Kong, who is more agile and carries barrels in front of him. Taking damage costs you your current Kong, but you can rescue them by breaking DK Barrels found throughout the stages.

Tips
- Roll-jump for distance: You can roll off the edge of a platform and press jump while in mid-air to cover massive gaps.
- Find hidden secrets: Keep an eye out for cracked walls or suspicious gaps; throw a barrel or ram them with Rambi the Rhino to uncover bonus rooms.
- Manage your momentum: Characters have a sense of weight. Use slopes and rolling attacks to build up speed for longer jumps.
