In Yoshi’s Safari (1993), Mario and Yoshi travel to Jewelry Land on a mission to rescue King Fret and Prince Pine from Bowser. Originally released for the SNES as the only Mario game to use the Super Scope light gun, this on-rails shooter puts you in a first-person perspective as you ride on Yoshi’s back. You must blast incoming Koopas, Goombas, and classic Mario bosses while carefully dodging obstacles and managing your weapon’s energy meter.
How to Play
Your objective is to reach the end of each stage and defeat the boss while keeping Yoshi safe from enemy attacks. Since this was originally a Super Scope title, aiming is typically mapped to your standard directional controls (Arrow keys), with your primary fire and jump commands mapped to the main action buttons (Z and X). Press Enter for Start.
Tips
Pay close attention to your energy gauge; firing continuously will deplete your power and weaken your shots, so it is best to fire in short, accurate bursts. Additionally, be careful not to accidentally shoot Yoshi in the back of the head, as this will deplete your health and temporarily stun him.
