Warlock is a 1995 action-adventure game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, based on the supernatural horror film series of the same name. You take on the role of a modern-day druid tasked with stopping the titular Warlock from gathering six ancient runestones. To navigate the dark, side-scrolling levels, you must master a unique magical orb mechanic that serves as both your primary weapon and a defensive tool against monsters and demons.
How to Play
Your objective is to travel across time and various worldly locations to find the scattered runestones before the Warlock completes his dark ritual. As you explore, you will use your magical orb to attack enemies, trigger distant switches, and absorb incoming projectiles.
- Movement: Arrow Keys (D-pad)
- Action / Jump: Z / X (SNES A/B)
- Magic / Orb Control: A / S (SNES X/Y)
- Start / Select: Enter / Shift
Tips
Your floating orb is incredibly versatile. You can guide its path after throwing it to hit enemies hidden behind cover or to flip hard-to-reach switches. Keep it close to your character when navigating treacherous areas, as it can absorb some incoming enemy attacks.
