Game description:

Uzu Keobukseon (often known as Space Turtle Ship) is a vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up released exclusively in South Korea for the Sega Genesis in 1992. Developed by Samsung Electronicsโ€”who served as Sega’s distributor in the regionโ€”it remains one of the console’s most notable rarities. Players pilot a futuristic, heavily-armed cruiser modeled after the historical Korean Geobukseon, blasting through eight varied stages ranging from ancient villages to cybernetic space bases.

How to Play

As a classic vertical shooter, your goal is to survive waves of enemies and defeat the boss at the end of each stage. Use the Arrow Keys (D-pad) to maneuver your ship. Press Z, X, or C (A/B/C buttons) to fire your primary weapon and deploy screen-clearing bombs. Collecting power-ups will upgrade your ship’s firepower and armor, but taking damage will downgrade your weapon level.

Tips

  • Protect your weapon level: Since your firepower and armor degrade when hit, prioritize dodging over aggressive point-blank attacks, especially before boss fights.
  • Conserve your bombs: Screen-clearing bombs are limited and essential for getting out of tight bullet patterns or dealing heavy damage to stage bosses.
