Trappers Tengoku – Spy vs Spy is a classic strategy and action game released for the Game Boy in 1992. Playing as either the Black or White spy, your mission is to outwit your rival in a frantic race to secure vital items scattered throughout the building. You must navigate the rooms, gather your secret items into a briefcase, and escape before the timer runs out or your opponent gets the upper hand.

How to Play

Your objective is to search furniture and hidden compartments to find a briefcase, money, a passport, a key, and secret plans, then successfully make your way to the exit door. To stop your rival, you can plant deadly traps in the environment. Control your spy using the D-pad to move, and the A and B buttons to search objects, attack, or set traps. In your browser, the standard Game Boy controls map to the arrow keys for movement, Z and X for A and B, and Enter/Shift for Start/Select.

Tips

• Keep a close eye on your opponent’s movements; if they have gathered most of the items, setting a trap in a high-traffic area is a great way to eliminate them and steal their loot.
• Always try to find trap-defusing tools like umbrellas or wire cutters when exploring, as recklessly opening doors or searching furniture can lead to an instant death.
