Game description:

Chavez is a 1994 boxing game for the SNES that serves as the Spanish-language version of Riddick Bowe Boxing. It features Spanish in-game menus and a roster of 24 professional Latino boxers, including Speedo Garcia, Ron Ronaldo, and the game’s namesake, Julio César Chávez. Each fighter brings unique strengths and weaknesses to the ring.

How to Play

Your objective is to defeat your opponent via knockout or by scoring more points by the end of the final round. The SNES controls use the D-pad for movement and the A, B, X, and Y buttons for throwing different types of punches and blocking. In your browser, these controls map to the arrow keys for movement, Z/X/A/S for your action buttons, and Enter/Shift for Start and Select.

Tips

Stamina management is essential in the ring; throwing punches wildly will quickly exhaust your boxer and leave you open to devastating counterattacks. Use the space of the ring to your advantage, keeping your distance when tired and avoiding getting trapped in the corners.
