Released for the NES in 1990 by Interplay and Acclaim Entertainment, Total Recall is a side-scrolling action platformer based on the sci-fi film of the same name. Players take on the role of Douglas Quaid as he fights his way across Earth and Mars to uncover his true memories. The game is known for its steep difficulty, relentless enemy spawns, and unforgiving level design that demands trial and error.

Tips
- Enemies frequently ambush you by walking out of background doors; stay alert and be ready to punch as soon as you pass an opening.
- Ammunition is scarce when you find a firearm. Save your bullets for boss fights and rely on hand-to-hand combat against standard enemies.
