Tiny Toon Adventures is a vibrant 1991 action-platformer developed by Konami for the NES. Players take control of Buster Bunny as he sets out to rescue Babs from the wealthy antagonist, Montana Max. The game is heavily influenced by the Super Mario Bros. series, but brings its own distinct cartoon flavor and a unique partner mechanic that lets you swap out characters on the fly to tackle varied level designs.
How to play
Your primary objective is to reach the end of each stage while collecting carrots and dodging or bouncing off enemies. At the beginning of each world, you choose a partner to bring along. Finding a Star Ball during the level allows you to swap Buster for your chosen ally: Plucky Duck for brief flight and easier swimming, Dizzy Devil to spin through walls and enemies, or Furrball to scale vertical surfaces.

Tips
- Choose partners wisely: Plucky Duck is invaluable for water stages or wide gaps, while Dizzy Devil’s spin attack is perfect for barreling through crowded enemy sections.
- Collect carrots: Gathering carrots isn’t just for points; if you collect enough and find a hidden room, you can trade them to Shirley the Loon for extra lives.
- Keep your momentum: Buster handles responsively but can slide slightly after running. Practice stopping early when landing on narrow platforms.
