Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project is a side-scrolling beat ’em up released for the NES in 1992. When Shredder rips the entire island of Manhattan from the earth and hovers it in the sky, you must fight your way through the streets, surfboards, and sewers to stop him.

Choose your favorite turtle and battle waves of Foot Soldiers using their signature weapons. The NES controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys to move, Z and X to jump and attack, and Enter for Start. Pressing the jump and attack buttons simultaneously unleashes a powerful, character-specific special move.

Don’t rely too heavily on the special moves, as they cost one point of health if they connect with an enemy. Instead, master the jump-kick—performed by pressing attack immediately after jumping—which is a safe and effective way to knock down most foes without taking damage.
