Super Team Games is a 1988 sports title for the NES, originally released as the third entry in Bandai’s Family Trainer series to reach North America. Designed specifically for the Power Pad floor mat accessory, the game features a collection of summer-camp-style athletic events where players compete side-by-side using “Side B” of the mat. Events include the obstacle course, sprints, log jumps, crab walks, and even a unique six-legged race.
How to play
The objective is to outpace your opponent or beat the clock across the various athletic minigames. Because it was originally a Power Pad game, playing in a browser means mimicking the rapid foot movements using standard keyboard inputs. Use the arrow keys for movement, Z and X for the A and B buttons, and Enter/Shift for Start/Select. You will need to alternate button presses rapidly to simulate running.
Tips
- Maintaining a steady, rhythmic pace when alternating buttons is often more effective than mashing them as fast as possible, as missed inputs can cause your character to stumble.
- In the obstacle course events, memorising the layout allows you to anticipate jumps and wall climbs without losing momentum.
