Game description:

Super Sports Challenge is an unlicensed 4-in-1 sports compilation released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. Developed by Codemasters and published in Europe (also known as Quattro Sports in North America), this multicart includes four distinct arcade-style titles: Baseball Pros, BMX Simulator, Pro Tennis Simulator, and Soccer Simulator. Originally sold on a custom cartridge designed to bypass the NES lockout chip, the collection offers a variety of competitive sports action in a single package.

How to play

Each of the four games has its own specific mechanics, but they all rely on standard NES arcade-style inputs. Use the D-pad (mapped to your keyboard’s arrow keys) for movement, steering, and aiming. The A and B buttons (Z and X on your keyboard) handle primary actions like swinging the bat, pedaling, passing, or shooting. Press Start (Enter) to begin or pause the action, and Select (Shift) to choose between the different games on the main menu.

Tips

  • In BMX Simulator, avoid the edges of the dirt track and other riders, as collisions will significantly slow your momentum and cost you valuable time.
  • Across the team sports like Soccer Simulator, prioritizing passes to open teammates is generally a safer strategy than trying to dribble through the opposing defense.
