Epyx brought their popular multi-event sports simulation, Summer Games, to the Atari 2600 in 1984. As an action-packed compilation of athletic events, players compete for gold medals across a variety of track, field, and aquatic disciplines, distilling the excitement of international competition into a series of short, skill-based challenges.
How to play
The objective is to achieve the best time or highest score across multiple events, either competing against other players or setting personal records. Success often relies on precise timing and rhythmic joystick movements rather than just rapid input. Use the controls below to run, jump, and dive your way to the podium.

Tips
In sprinting events, speed is built by rapidly alternating the joystick left and right rather than holding a single direction. For the diving events, wait until the apex of your jump to begin your rotation, and focus on entering the water as vertically as possible to maximize your score.
