Star Wars Episode I: Battle for Naboo is an action flight combat game co-developed by Factor 5 and LucasArts, released for the Nintendo 64 in 2001. A spiritual successor to Rogue Squadron, the game puts players in the cockpits of iconic Naboo vehiclesโlike the N-1 Starfighter and the Gian speederโto fight off the Trade Federation invasion.
How to Play
Complete a series of aerial and ground-based combat missions by destroying Trade Federation forces, protecting allies, and completing specific objectives. By default on the Nintendo 64, movement is controlled with the analog stick or D-pad, the A button fires primary weapons, the B button fires secondary weapons (like proton torpedoes), and the C buttons control speed and camera views. In the browser, the D-pad maps to the arrow keys, A and B map to Z and X, and Start maps to Enter.
Tips
- Keep your speed balanced: moving too fast can make it harder to hit precision targets, while moving too slow makes you an easy target for enemy fire.
- Conserve your secondary weapons (like torpedoes) for heavy targets such as shield generators or heavily armored Trade Federation tanks.
