Shove It! …The Warehouse Game is a classic puzzle game released for the Sega Genesis in 1990. Based on the fundamental mechanics of Sokoban, you play as a warehouse worker named Steig who must carefully navigate increasingly complex rooms to push crates onto designated target spots. Each stage requires strategic thinking, as a single wrong move can leave a box permanently trapped in a corner.
How to Play
Your goal in every room is to push all the boxes onto the marked floor locations. You can only push one box at a time, and you cannot pull them. Use the Arrow Keys to move Steig around the warehouse. Press Enter to start the game or pause. If you make a mistake and get a box stuck, you will need to restart the current stage by using the Genesis A, B, or C buttons (typically mapped to Z, X, or C on your keyboard) to bring up the menu.
Tips
- Work backwards: Before moving any boxes, look at the target spots and visualize the final few moves needed to get a box there.
- Beware of corners: Pushing a crate directly into a corner makes it impossible to move again. Always ensure you have a way to get behind the crate.
- Keep paths clear: Avoid clustering crates together, as you cannot push two crates at the same time.
