Seishun Scandal (known in Western markets as My Hero) is a challenging side-scrolling beat ’em up developed by Coreland and published by Sega for the Sega Master System in 1986. Players take on the role of Takeshi, fighting through waves of street thugs to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend from a gang leader named Mohikan.
How to Play
The objective is to fight your way through looping urban stages, surviving as long as possible while defeating waves of enemies. The controls are straightforward: use the D-pad to move and crouch, press Button 1 to attack (punch or kick, depending on your stance), and Button 2 to jump. When playing in your browser, the D-pad maps to the arrow keys, with Z and X serving as the action buttons.
Tips
- Keep moving to avoid getting overwhelmed by enemies rushing from both sides of the screen.
- Be prepared to dodge unpredictable hazards, such as thrown weapons or aggressive dogs, by crouching or jumping.
- Master the jump kickโit is one of your most effective moves for safely dispatching enemies from a distance.
