Wimbledon is an officially licensed tennis game released for the Sega Master System in 1992, developed by SIMS and published by Sega. While it carries the prestigious tournament’s name, the game trades real-world professional rosters for customizable characters in a deep Championship mode, alongside standard exhibition singles and doubles matches.
How to Play
Your goal is to outmaneuver your opponent on the grass courts to win sets and the tournament. In the browser emulator, use the Arrow Keys to move your player. Use the Z and X keys (mapped to the Master System’s 1 and 2 buttons) to serve and hit the ball, executing lobs and standard swings. Press Enter or Shift to start the game or pause.
Tips
- In Championship mode, you can allocate skill points to build up your custom character’s statsโfocus on speed early on to ensure you can reach baseline returns.
- Timing is critical when swinging. Press the hit button just as the ball reaches your player to increase the power and accuracy of your return.
- Write down your passwords carefully after each Championship match, as the game relies on them to save your tournament progress.
