Developed by Konami in 1984 for the Sega SG-1000, Road Fighter is a fast-paced top-down vertical racing game. Rather than competing directly for first place against other drivers, the primary challenge is endurance. You pilot a red sports car through increasingly hazardous courses, dodging civilian traffic and aggressive rival vehicles while racing to cross the finish line before your fuel gauge runs empty.
How to play
Your objective is to reach the end of each stage before running out of fuel. Crashing into the sides of the road or other cars will cause you to spin out and lose speed, wasting precious time and fuel. To survive, you must intercept the special multicoloured cars on the track, which restore a portion of your fuel.

Tips
- If you clip another vehicle and start to spin, quickly tap the directional button opposite to the spin to regain control and avoid a full crash.
- Prioritise catching the multicoloured fuel cars over maintaining maximum speed; missing them is the most common reason for a game over.
- Stay near the centre of the road when the track is clear to give yourself the most time to react when slower cars change lanes.
