Released for the Atari 2600 in 1985, Road Runner is a fast-paced action game that puts you in the feathers of the iconic cartoon bird. Developed by Atari, the game challenges you to sprint through scrolling desert landscapes, continuously eating birdseed to stay alive while keeping one step ahead of Wile E. Coyote and his relentless traps.
How to play
Your primary goal is to survive and rack up points by eating the piles of birdseed scattered along the road. You must keep moving and avoid starving, all while dodging Wile E. Coyote, who pursues you with everything from roller skates to Acme rockets. If you miss too much seed, touch an obstacle, or get caught, you lose a life.

Tips
- Wile E. Coyote frequently changes his tactics by using different Acme gadgets. Watch his animations closely, as you’ll need to adapt your dodging depending on whether he’s on foot, on skates, or using a rocket.
- You have full freedom to move up and down the road. Use the vertical space to maneuver around landmines, trucks, and falling rocks while collecting seed.
