Developed by Konami and released in 1993, Pop’n TwinBee is a vibrant, vertically scrolling cute ’em up for the SNES. As a standout entry in the beloved TwinBee seriesโand the first to reach Europeโit offers a charming but frantic shoot ’em up experience where you pilot the iconic TwinBee and WinBee mechas through colorful, enemy-filled stages.
How to Play
Your objective is to blast airborne enemies and bomb ground targets while dodging incoming fire. For this SNES title, the default browser controls map the D-pad to your arrow keys, the main action buttons (A/B/X/Y) to Z/X/A/S, Start to Enter, and Select to Shift. The game also supports two-player co-op, allowing players to share the screen and even throw each other as a powerful attack.
Tips
- Juggling Bells: Shoot clouds to reveal bells, then repeatedly shoot the bells to juggle them and change their color. Different colors yield different power-ups, such as shields or multi-directional shots.
- Protect Your Arms: Unlike older entries, your ship has a health bar. However, taking too much damage causes your mechanical arms to fall off, preventing you from bombing ground targets until you find a repair item.
