Game description:

Released by Sega in 1994, Phantasy Star IV is an acclaimed sci-fi role-playing game for the Sega Genesis and the epic conclusion to the original series. Players step into the role of bounty hunter Chaz as a routine investigation on the desert planet of Motavia spirals into a system-spanning journey to save the Algol star system. Renowned for its manga-style cutscenes and fast-paced combat, it remains one of the defining RPGs of the 16-bit era.

How to Play

The game follows a classic turn-based RPG structure where you explore towns, delve into dungeons, and fight random encounters to level up your party. Sega Genesis controls map to your keyboard in the browser: use the arrow keys to navigate the world, Z to interact or confirm selections, X to cancel or open the main menu, and Enter to pause or start.

Tips

Combat is famously fast, and mastering the Macro system is essential for saving time and surviving tough battles. You can pre-program sequences of attacks and skills in the menu to execute them automatically in fights. Experiment with turn orders and specific character abilities, as certain skills cast in the correct sequence will trigger devastating combination attacks that deal massive damage to all enemies.
