Game description:

Released in 1996, Olympic Summer Games is the official SNES sports simulator for the Atlanta 100th Olympic Games. Developed by Tiertex Design Studios and published by U.S. Gold, it captures the competitive spirit of the real-world event by offering a variety of track, field, and shooting disciplines to master.

How to Play

Your objective is to represent your chosen nation and secure gold medals across ten different events, including the 100m sprint, long jump, pole vault, and skeet shooting. Each discipline requires different timing and button-mashing techniques. Since this is an SNES title, the default browser controls map the D-pad to the arrow keys, with Z and X acting as the primary action buttons, and Enter for Start.

Tips

  • Find the Rhythm: When competing in sprinting events, focus on maintaining a rapid, consistent rhythm between the action buttons rather than mashing them sporadically.
  • Mind the Angle: For field events like the javelin or long jump, releasing the action button at the optimal angle (usually around 45 degrees) is just as critical as your initial run-up speed.
