How to Play

Your objective is to conquer every rival fief to unite Japan under your banner. Gameplay revolves around balancing your economy—allocating gold and rice to keep your peasants productive and your army supplied—while deploying forces in tactical, turn-based battles. Use the D-pad to navigate the command menus and select map tiles, the A button to confirm orders, and the B button to cancel. In the browser, the D-pad is mapped to the arrow keys, A is Z, B is X, Start is Enter, and Select is Shift.

Tips

• Focus on building up your local economy early by investing in town development and flood control, which prevents random disasters from wiping out your harvests.
