Nail ‘n Scale is a distinctive puzzle-platformer released for the Game Boy in 1992 by Data East. You control Spike, an adventurer navigating 51 labyrinthine levels to defeat an evil dragon named Lore. Instead of relying on jumping skills, you use climbing spikesโor nailsโto scale vertical walls, build your own platforms, and break through blocks to reach the exit door in each stage.
How to Play
Your objective is to traverse the maze-like levels by strategically placing and destroying nails to overcome obstacles and enemies. Every tenth level features a boss battle that requires a specific strategy to defeat.

Tips
- You can only have a limited number of nails on screen at once; firing a new one will cause your oldest nail to disappear.
- Nails can be fired horizontally into walls or vertically into the ground. Plan your path carefully, as you can easily block your own route upward.
- Jumping on top of a nail provides a solid platform, but you can also use your hammer to break certain bricks or clear enemies out of your way.
