Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes is a 1998 arcade fighting game developed by Capcom. As the third entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, it pits iconic Street Fighter and Capcom characters against Marvel’s legendary comic book heroes in fast-paced 2v2 tag team battles. The game is celebrated for its gorgeous 2D sprite animation, over-the-top Hyper Combos, and the introduction of a dedicated “guest assist” character who can be summoned to briefly aid your team during the match.
How to Play
The game uses an 8-way joystick and a 6-button layout (light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks). In the browser, use the Arrow Keys to move, and Z, X, C, A, S, D for your attacks. Press Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start. To tag in your partner, press Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick simultaneously. You can call your guest assist character by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick together.
Tips
- Variable Cross: With two levels of your Hyper Combo gauge filled, perform a quarter-circle forward and press Heavy Punch + Heavy Kick. Both of your characters will enter the screen, giving you a brief window to unleash unlimited Hyper Combos together.
- Choose Your Assist: You do not have to settle for a random assist character. By holding Start and pressing a specific sequence of attack buttons right before the match begins, you can manually select your preferred guest fighter.
