Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter is a fast-paced crossover fighting game developed by Capcom and released for the Arcade in 1997. Bringing together iconic characters from the Marvel Comics universe and Capcom’s legendary Street Fighter series, this title features frenetic 2v2 tag-team combat where you can swap fighters mid-battle and execute massive, screen-filling hyper combos.
How to Play
Select your team of two characters and battle opposing teams until their health is depleted. As an Arcade release, you will first need to insert virtual coins (typically mapped to the Shift key) and press Start (Enter). Use the arrow keys to move, jump, and crouch. The primary action keys (such as Z, X, C, A, S, and D) control your light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks. Experiment with joystick motions combined with attack buttons to unleash your character’s special moves and tag-team abilities.
Tips and Strategies
- Variable Assists: You can call your off-screen partner to perform an assist attack without fully swapping them in. This is great for extending combos or safely creating space when you are being pressured.
- Cross-Over Combination: When you have at least two levels built up in your super meter, you can unleash a Cross-Over Combination to have both of your characters perform their Hyper Combos simultaneously for massive damage.
- Tagging Out Safely: Swapping characters allows your resting fighter to recover some of their red health. However, tagging leaves you momentarily vulnerable, so try to swap safely during a combo or when your opponent is knocked down.
