Game description:

Released by Nintendo in 1980, this classic arcade fixed shooter tasks you with defending your Spaceport against waves of attacking Gamma Raiders. Building upon the foundation of games like Galaxian, it distinguishes itself with a striking pseudo-3D perspective that adds a unique sense of depth to the frantic dogfights. While it enjoyed some success in Japan, it is perhaps most famous today for its commercial struggles in North America, a situation that led a young Shigeru Miyamoto to repurpose thousands of unsold cabinets into the legendary Donkey Kong.

Your primary objective is to destroy the incoming formations of enemy ships before they can bomb your base. To play this arcade title in your browser, use the Arrow keys to move your ship left and right across the bottom of the screen, and press Z or X to fire your lasers.

Keep a close eye on the Damage Meter; if the Gamma Raiders successfully bomb your Spaceport too many times, the game ends regardless of how many lives you have left. Focus on eliminating the swooping enemies as quickly as possible, and remember that you can take advantage of rapid fire to clear dense formations.
