Magical Tetris Challenge is a competitive puzzle game released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64. Developed by Capcom, the game takes the timeless block-clearing mechanics of classic Tetris and injects it with a lively Disney theme, letting you play as characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy across a fully voiced story mode.
The core objective remains clearing horizontal lines of blocks, but the game introduces a unique competitive twist. By default in your browser, use the arrow keys to move the falling pieces left and right or soft drop them. Press Z or X to rotate the blocks, and use Enter to pause or navigate menus.
Unlike standard Tetris garbage lines, clearing multiple lines at once in Magical mode drops awkward pentominoes (five-block shapes) and massive cascading blocks onto your opponent’s board. To win matches, focus on building up your stack to score consecutive line clears or a four-line Tetris, which will overwhelm your opponent with difficult shapes rather than just raising their stack height.
