Lethal Weapon is a 1993 side-scrolling action game developed by Eurocom and published by Ocean Software for the NES. Based on the popular film franchise, players take control of LAPD detectives Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh as they battle their way through the streets of Los Angeles to thwart a dangerous smuggling ring.
How to Play
The objective is to navigate through various levels, defeating enemies and completing missions within a time limit. Players can switch between Riggs and Murtaugh during gameplay; Riggs is armed with a rapid-fire handgun and a combat knife, while Murtaugh uses a powerful magnum and can unleash roundhouse kicks. Use the D-pad (Arrow keys) to move, the A button (Z key) to jump, and the B button (X key) to attack. Pressing Start (Enter) pauses the game and Select (Shift) swaps characters.
Tips
- Swap characters to survive: Each detective has his own health bar, so switch them out when one runs low on health to stay in the fight.
- Play to their strengths: Riggs’ faster firing rate is ideal for dealing with multiple weak enemies, while Murtaugh’s stronger magnum takes down tough bosses quickly.
- Watch the clock: Keep an eye on the time limit in each stage and prioritize grabbing clock icons to add valuable seconds to your timer.
