Lethal Weapon is an action-platformer released for the NES in 1993, based on the classic buddy cop movie franchise. Developed by Eurocom, the game lets you play as Los Angeles detectives Martin Riggs or Roger Murtaugh. You navigate through side-scrolling levels, taking on criminals with a mix of hand-to-hand combat and firearms to foil a massive smuggling operation.
How to Play
Your objective is to reach the end of each stage while defeating enemies and avoiding hazards. You can swap between Riggs, who uses martial arts, and Murtaugh, who uses a more powerful handgun. Use the Arrow Keys to move and aim, Z to jump, X to attack, Enter for Start (and pausing to switch characters), and Shift for Select.
Tips
- Each detective has their own separate health bar. Switch between them by pausing the game to keep both characters alive when one is low on health.
- Ammunition is limited. Save your bullets for heavily armed enemies and rely on melee attacks for weaker thugs.
- Take your time exploring; rushing forward often leads to taking unnecessary damage from off-screen enemies.
