Jeopardy! on the Nintendo 64 (1998) brings the iconic television quiz show directly to your console. Featuring a digitized Alex Trebek as your host, the game tests your trivia knowledge across thousands of clues spanning standard Jeopardy, Double Jeopardy, and Final Jeopardy rounds. You can compete against AI contestants or challenge up to two friends in multiplayer to see who has the quickest buzzer reflexes and the widest array of general knowledge.
How to play
The objective is to accumulate the highest cash total by correctly formulating questions to the provided answers. In the browser emulator, use the Arrow Keys to navigate the board and select letters to spell out your responses. Press X (mapped to the A button) to select or confirm. To buzz in when a clue is read, use the Z or C keys (mapped to the N64 shoulder buttons/triggers). Enter acts as the Start button to pause or skip through menus.
Tips
- Wait for the buzzer: You cannot buzz in until Alex finishes reading the clue. Trying to ring in too early will temporarily lock out your buzzer, giving opponents the advantage.
- Abbreviate when possible: The spelling interface can be slow. Take advantage of the game’s generous spelling recognition; getting the phonetic sound or first part of a word is often enough to be marked correct.
