Hatch Catch is a 1995 arcade puzzle game developed by Semicom. Often compared to Magical Drop, the game tasks players with clearing screens of colored blocks by matching three or more of the same color. Across 50 stages, the objective is to clear all the blocks on the screen to progress before they reach the bottom.
How to play
Use the Arrow keys to move left and right. Press Z or X to pull and throw blocks, aiming to create vertical matches of three or more identical colors. Press Shift to insert coins and Enter to start.
Tips
- Look for chain reactions; clearing a column of blocks can cause the colors above to fall and match automatically.
- Work quickly on the lowest hanging blocks first to keep the playfield manageable.
