Game description:

Released by Data East in 1987 for the Famicom, Golf Club: Birdy Rush is a classic sports title that brings traditional 18-hole action to the 8-bit era. Featuring a variety of clubs and environmental hazards like wind, water, and deep bunkers, it offers a solid and challenging retro golfing experience.

How to Play

The objective is to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible. Navigate the course and aim your shots using the Arrow keys. Press Z or X to start the traditional three-click swing meter, timing your presses to determine both the power and accuracy of your shot. Press Enter to start or pause the game, and Shift for Select.

Tips

  • Always check the wind indicator before taking a shot, as strong gusts will significantly alter the ball’s trajectory.
  • Because this is a Japanese release, some of the initial setup menus and club selection screens will require a bit of trial and error to navigate.
