G-LOC: Air Battle is an intense air combat arcade shooter developed by Sega for the Sega Genesis. Serving as a spiritual successor to the legendary After Burner series, players take control of an advanced experimental fighter jet. The game challenges you to engage in high-speed dogfights and execute precision missile lock-ons across a series of fast-paced, action-packed missions.
How to Play
The objective is to eliminate a required quota of enemy aircraft before the timer runs out to clear each stage. You must manage the pitch and roll of your jet to dodge incoming attacks while lining up your own shots. The default Sega Genesis controls are mapped to your keyboard in the browser: use the Arrow Keys to steer, Z to fire your vulcan cannon, and X to launch heat-seeking missiles. Press Enter to start the game.
Tips
- Maximise missile locks: Rely primarily on your heat-seeking missiles to take down enemies. Lock onto multiple targets at once before firing to efficiently clear the stage quota.
- Keep moving: Never fly in a straight line for too long. Constantly roll and adjust your altitude to avoid incoming enemy fire and stay out of their crosshairs.
- Watch the timer: Time is your biggest enemy. Don’t waste time trying to shoot down every single jet; focus on hitting the required quota to advance.
