Frogger 2: Threeedeep! is Parker Brothers’ 1984 Atari 2600 sequel to the arcade classic Frogger. The title says it all: instead of a single river to cross, the frog must pass through three vertical layers — ocean floor, water surface, and open sky — each with its own moving hazards, before reaching the goal at the top.
How to play
Each round begins with the frog underwater. Work upward through all three environments:
- Underwater — navigate past sea creatures swimming across your path.
- Surface — hop across logs and lily pads in classic Frogger fashion.
- Sky — leap from cloud to cloud and across birds to reach the rainbow.
Controls (Player 1): Arrow keys to move · Spacebar to trigger · F11 select · F12 reset · Alt+P pause.
Tips
- Each of the three layers has a different timing rhythm — the underwater section in particular moves faster than it looks.
- In the sky, clouds shift position, so wait for a clear gap rather than jumping on reflex.
- The surface layer plays closest to the original Frogger; use that muscle memory as an anchor.
