Mr. Do! is an underground maze game from Universal, released in arcades in 1982 and ported to the Atari 2600. You play as Mr. Do, a circus clown armed with a bouncing power ball. Each screen is a network of tunnels buried in the earth, dotted with cherries you must collect while monsters hunt you through every passage you dig. A level ends when all the cherries are eaten or all the monsters are gone.
How to play
Walk into undug earth to dig in any direction. Throw your power ball with the trigger and it ricochets off walls until it hits a monster or returns to your hand — you can only have one in play at a time, so aim before you throw. Apples scattered through the tunnels are your other weapon: nudge one with a single step to send it rolling, and it will crush any monster caught below it. Use the game SELECT switch (F11) to choose a difficulty level before you start.

Tips
- One apple can crush a whole column of monsters — lure a group into a vertical tunnel, then nudge the apple from above.
- Bounce the power ball off a wall rather than throwing it straight: a diagonal ricochet through a busy tunnel is far more effective than a direct shot that misses.
- Dig toward cherry clusters early, before monsters flood the board — clearing cherries in long straight rows gives you fast escape routes and makes it harder for monsters to corner you.
