Game description:

Fighter’s History is a 1993 fighting game developed by Data East for the SNES. While famous for drawing a lawsuit from Capcom over its similarities to Street Fighter II, it stands out by adding a unique weak point mechanic to the traditional 2D fighting formula.

How to play

Deplete your opponent’s health bar across best-of-three rounds. Every fighter has a specific weak point—such as a headband or kneepad—that flashes when hit. Dealing enough damage to this spot will temporarily stun the character, leaving them open to a free attack.

Tips

  • Focus your attacks on your opponent’s designated weak point to score a stun, then capitalize on their dizzy state with a high-damage combo.
  • Defend your own character’s weak point carefully, as being stunned usually guarantees losing the round against a skilled opponent.
