Game description:

Fighter’s History is a classic 1994 2D fighting game developed by Data East for the SNES. Infamous for being so mechanically similar to Street Fighter II that it triggered a lawsuit from Capcom, the game features a globe-trotting tournament where martial artists compete in the Great Grapple. Players choose from nine distinct characters to battle their way to the mysterious final boss, Karnov.

How to Play

As a traditional fighting game, the objective is to deplete your opponent’s health bar by landing strikes and special moves. On the SNES, the game uses a six-button layout. Use the D-pad (mapped to arrow keys) to move, jump, and block, while the standard buttons execute light, medium, and heavy attacks. Combining directional inputs with attack buttons triggers signature special moves.

Tips

Each character in Fighter’s History has a unique weak spot, represented by a specific piece of clothing or accessory. Targeting and hitting this weak spot repeatedly will eventually stun your opponent, leaving them open to a devastating combo. Keep track of both your own weak spot and your opponent’s to turn the tide of battle.
