Game description:

Dragon Ball: Dai Maou Fukkatsu (Great Demon King’s Resurrection) is a classic 1988 role-playing game developed by Bandai for the Famicom/NES. As the second Dragon Ball title on the console, it pivots from action to an innovative mix of adventure-style exploration and strategic card-based battles. You guide Goku as he attempts to stop King Piccolo, navigating a board game-like overworld using cards to determine movement and engage in encounters.

How to Play

Movement and combat are both driven by randomly drawn cards. During exploration, the star value on the card dictates how many spaces you can move. In battle, you choose cards to attack or defend based on their offensive stars and defensive symbols. The default NES controls on the web emulator map the D-pad to your arrow keys, A and B to the Z and X keys, and Start and Select to the Enter and Shift keys.

Tips

  • Pay close attention to the symbols and star counts on your cards during combat; higher stars offer better attack power or defense.
  • Conserve your strongest cards for boss encounters, as wasting them on minor enemies can leave you vulnerable.
