Bee 52 is a colorful horizontal scrolling shooter developed by Codemasters and released as an unlicensed NES title in 1992. You control a worker bee on a mission to collect nectar from flowers across backyards and swamps to fill your hive’s honey jar. The gardens are full of hostile insects like ants, spiders, and grasshoppers that you must avoid or shoot down to protect your harvest.
How to Play
Navigate the levels to visit flowers, collect their nectar, and return to your hive. Use the Arrow Keys (D-pad) to hover and maneuver Bee 52. Press Z (A button) to spit a long-range projectile at enemies, or X (B button) for a powerful close-range sting. Press Enter (Start) to pause.
Tips
Since enemies respawn after being defeated, focus on completing your nectar trips rather than clearing the screen. Keep an eye out for power-upsโdefeating certain enemies like fireflies will drop a powerful bomb weapon, while finding “Junior” will give you a protective companion that absorbs a hit for you.
