Game description:

Released in 1989 by Taito for the NES, Bakushou!! Jinsei Gekijou is a four-player digital board game simulation that plays similarly to Milton Bradley’s The Game of Life. This Japanese exclusive tasks players with navigating a virtual board, experiencing unpredictable life events, and competing to accumulate the most wealth and success by the end of their journey.

How to Play

Players take turns spinning a virtual roulette wheel to move across the board, gaining or losing money depending on where they land. The objective is to finish the game with the highest net worth. To play in your browser with default NES controls, use the arrow keys as the D-pad to navigate, the Z and X keys as the A and B buttons to make selections, and Enter for Start.

Tips

Because the game’s text is entirely in Japanese, non-speakers should pay close attention to the numerical changes and audio cues when landing on a space to figure out if an event is positive or negative. Additionally, prioritize landing on high-value spaces over rushing to the end, as end-game stat bonuses can dramatically alter the final rankings.
