Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2 is a third-person shooter developed by The 3DO Company and released for the PlayStation in 2000. Continuing the plastic warfare saga, Sarge must lead the Green army against General Plastro and the Tan army, who have now allied with the Blue spy Brigitte. The gameplay heavily features “real world” levels, dropping your tiny plastic soldier into massive, everyday environments like a kitchen sink, a refrigerator, and a bedroom, where you fight with classic weapons like the M16, bazooka, and flamethrower.

How to Play

Your objective is to navigate each mission’s objectives, which range from rescuing captured allies to destroying Tan army equipment, all while surviving enemy fire. The default PlayStation controls use the D-pad to move, the X button to shoot, the Square button to jump, and the L1/R1 shoulder buttons to strafe. When playing in the browser, these are typically mapped to the arrow keys for movement, Z to shoot, X to jump, and A/S to strafe.

• Strafing is essential for survival; use the shoulder buttons constantly to circle enemies while returning fire.
