Fox Video Games brought the tension of deep space to the Atari 2600 in 1982 with Alien, a maze-chase action game heavily inspired by Pac-Man. You navigate the corridors of the Nostromo, trying to crush every alien egg while being hunted by three aliens.
How to play
Your objective is to clear the maze of all eggs to advance to the next level. You can use your flamethrower to temporarily turn back a pursuing alien. Grabbing the flashing pulsars makes the aliens vulnerable, allowing you to catch them for bonus points.

Tips
- Use your flamethrower strategically when cornered; it won’t destroy the aliens, but it will force them to retreat and buy you time.
- When you are about to grab a pulsar, try to let the aliens get somewhat close first so you can catch all three of them before the effect wears off.
- Prizes occasionally appear in the maze; grab them quickly for extra points before they vanish.
