Game description:

100 Man Dollar Kid – Maboroshi no Teiou Hen (known in North America as Casino Kid) is a casino-themed adventure game released for the Famicom (NES) by Sofel in 1989. Set in the fictional gambling hub of Lost Wages, you must build your fortune through blackjack and five-card draw poker to eventually challenge the mysterious King of the Casino. Unique to this original Japanese release is the ability to spend your winnings to travel to other casinos in New York and Japan.

How to play

The goal is to earn enough money at the tables to progress to higher-stakes matches against tougher opponents. Navigate the casino floor and select options during card games using the D-pad (mapped to the arrow keys). Press A (X key) to confirm choices or interact with other gamblers, and use B (Z key) to cancel or back out of menus. Press Start (Enter) to pause or access your main menu.

Tips

  • Start small: Do not challenge the high rollers immediately. Build your bankroll on lower-stakes tables before risking it all.
